Text 100 International, a subsidiary of One Monday Group and the largest independent technology public relations firm in the world, will launch an annual scholarship program for college students pursuing a career in public relations.

Text 100 is teaming with Workinpr.com, a public relations job site, to award six $2,500 scholarships to entering juniors and seniors studying journalism, communications, or public relations.

"We believe that by investing in students, we open the door for them to obtain the skills needed to start a successful career in high-tech public relations," said Aedhmar Hynes, CEO, Text 100 International. "By providing these students with the opportunity to demonstrate critical thinking skills, we increase their entry level competency, raising the bar for all PR professionals and contributing to the future of the industry."

Students will be asked to submit a comprehensive essay outlining their strategy for launching a high-profile product of a well-known technology company. The scholarship will be given to those who can best demonstrate their knowledge of high technology and public relations using critical thinking and creativity. The six winners will be announced on June 1, 2001. In addition to the $2,500 cash awards, which will be paid directly to the recipients' college or university, winners will receive a Text 100 Excellence Trophy and the opportunity to visit one of Text 100's seven North American offices located in Atlanta, Boston, New York, Rochester, San Francisco, Seattle, and Silicon Valley.

Text 100 has 25 offices across Europe, North America, India, Africa, and the Asia-Pacific region. Its clients include BT, Compaq Computer Corp., SAP, Unisphere and Xerox Corp., as well as emerging technology companies Amazon.com, Excite@Home, Handspring, InfoSpace Inc., and Virginbiz.net.

Applications for the scholarship can be obtained at www.text100.com/us/scholarship. Completed applications should be sent by May 1, 2001 to:
